at the cooper hewitt national design museum, guest curator thom browne creates an “infinity” room with a mirrored floor and walls. a wide assortment of mirrors, some over 300 years old, from the permanent collection line the walls, while a grid of nickel plated wing tip shoes sprawl out over the floor. a focal point of the exhibition is a desk and chair, complete with a typewriter, briefcase, coat stand, lamp, stapler, and an apple, all nickel plated.
