highline apartment

new york, ny
1.050 s.f.
completed 2009

perched fifteen stories above the high line, this new construction apartment received some additional contemporary touches to meet the client’s practical and aesthetic needs. a millwork material palette (stainless steel, opal acrylic, and wenge) and dimensional repetition gave design cohesiveness to the interior. ipe and “grass” transformed the downtown facing balcony into an outdoor living room. an upper book shelf in the bedroom maximized space, as well as created a built in art piece.
