unbuilt 2010

this unbuilt project is a tiny boutique “hotel” that offers short term housing for japanese professionals temporarily working in new york.  inspired by the capsule hotels, the design intent was to provide all the living essentials in a compact and efficient manner.  each unit takes advantage of the high ceilings and provides a sleeping loft as well as a bedroom below.  colors highlight the repetition and stacking of the hotel.
