lib-e is a competition proposal to be installed on the sidewalk of fulton mall in brooklyn, ny. it’s goal is to act as a neighborhood “beacon”, broadcasting the current block’s environmental conditions (water use, energy use, and waste production), and to inspire people to be more conscious of their ecological footprint. lib-e is also a wifi hotspot, which hosts a website which provides tips on bettering the environment. it’s form is inspired by the statue of liberty.
