this proposed two family new construction house is located in the red hook neighborhood of brooklyn. the infill project fits seamlessly into the block, yet at the same time challenges the low density housing typology of its neighbors. the jog in building section not only creates a stronger public/private seperation within each dwelling unit, but creates “negative” space within the building mass. the property is located within a flood plain, so the building sits mostly above grade.
