at the cooper hewitt national design museum, international artist shahzia sikander guest curates an exhibition by choosing items from the permanent collection, and highlighting the exhibition with her handmade “book”. a custom platform, casework, and wall panels display a collection of furniture, objects, and drawings. a twelve foot long custom display case is the focal point of the room. the exhibition was open march to september 2009.
