situated on the ridge of the oakland hills, this design/build new construction house brings together a diverse family with green architecture. the “bar” portion of the house is insulated with a sod roof, while it’s small building section maximized cross ventilation. the “tower” is situated so it’s trombe wall takes advantage of the site’s south sun, while it’s angled roof is clad with pv and solar hot water panels. the project is currently being greenpoint rated.
